FirstMRI technologist, Amanda Turcotte, receives national credentials.

FirstMRI of Bangor is pleased to announce that technologist Amanda Turcotte recently passed her advanced registry exam in Magnetic Resonance Imaging administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). ARRT is the world's largest credentialing organization, testing and certifying technologists and administering continuing education and ethics requirements for their

annual registration. This exam tests the applicant in all aspects of MRI safety, technology, and the theories behind what makes the images.

Amanda has been employed by FirstMRI since November 2006, is registered by ARRT in diagnostic and magnetic resonance imaging, and licensed by State of Maine as Radiologic Technologist. She is a member of American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and Society of Magnetic Resonance Technologists (SMRT).

FirstMRI employs eight ARRT-registered, Maine-licensed technologists with 100 years combined experience. Founded in 1985 as MRI Associates, FirstMRI was the first MRI provider in Maine, and the first north of Boston to offer high definition scans. An independent service provider, FirstMRI currently operates 3 magnets at their State Street, Bangor location.
